Sr Civil/Structural Engineer

Roberts Companies is looking for a Civil/Structural Engineer to work with our In-house small projects engineering group. This is a replacement for an engineer that is retiring.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related is desired
  • Proficient in steel and concrete construction, design and drafting using AutoCAD 14 or higher
  • 3 D Modeling experience a plus

Project Coordinator

Roberts Companies has an immediate opening for an Project/Office Coordinator in a Engineering Office located in Concord, California. The Project Coordinator will provide administrative and logistics support to the Branch Manager and individual Project Managers. Under the direction of the Project Manager(s) and in collaboration with the Project Team(s), coordinates activities and provides administrative support to ensure exceptional project execution performance from project kick-off to close-out.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Arts, Business Administration or a related field

• Maintain Request for Information (RFI) logs. Expedite responses to requestors.

• Expedite internal reviews of vendor documents/drawings in alignment with project schedules.
• Support engineers and designers in obtaining project information including equipment tag number requests, drawing number requests, updating vendor drawings with comments, etc.
• Assist Project Manager to ensure QA/QC compliance, including project closeout and turnover activities.
• Maintain understanding of client requirements, procedures, standards and requirements to ensure conformity of deliverables.
• Organize and preserve electronic files in accordance with company guidelines. • Provide administrative and facility support to the Branch Manager in all aspects of maintaining the office.

Mechanical Rotating Equipment Engineer

Roberts Companies has an immediate position for a Rotating Equipment/Reliability Engineer for a long term contract at a bay area refinery. 

LOCAL CANDIDATES DESIRED

Job duties/Responsibilities include:

 
Supports plant maintenance by doing mechanical engineering work to improve plant performance, improve plant reliability, improve plant safety and reduce operating expenses.
Evaluates condition of existing equipment and recommends repairs, replacements, upgrades or operating limits to ensure safe plant operations and compliance with industry codes and government regulations. 
 
Does the associated engineering necessary to execute such work.
Develops equipment specifications for the purchase and as necessary the repair of equipment. 
Prepares mechanical specifications from process specifications. 
Works directly with onsite personnel and outside companies to insure compliance with specifications or resolution of problems involved with fabrication or repair of equipment.
Prepares management of change documentation for engineered mechanical changes. 
Consults and works with other departments on mechanical engineering issues and equipment and piping design detail reviews.
Provides estimates and preliminary design work to prepare for capital expenditures.
 
Job Requirements:
 
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering required.
Minimum eight years mechanical engineering experience required.
Minimum three years experience working in a petroleum plant or petrochemical plant required.
Preferred experience in rotating equipment design, alteration, and repair.
