Project Engineer with a local Construction company that works in the gas and oil industry. About the Job Project Engineers provide support to the Superintendent and Project Manager by performing routine daily activities and assisting in gathering and distributing information to team members.

Job Responsibilities

  •  Participate in the development of the project estimate & associated negotiations
  • Work with the safety department to develop a site specific safety plan
  • Work with the Superintendent to obtain & setup the required yard & office equipment

Mechanical/Piping Construction Coordinator

Duties: Coordinate and lead mechanical and process piping fabrication and installation work in support of the capital construction program in an operating oil refinery. Planner/Scheduler Support

Supports plant maintenance by doing mechanical engineering work to improve plant performance, improve plant reliability, improve plant safety and reduce operating expenses.

2. Participates in reliability or equipment-related incident investigations. Ensures refinery compliance with Process Safety Management Mechanical Integrity for refinery rotating equipment. (15%)

3. Performs cost/benefits analysis for technical solutions. (15%)
4. Ensures lessons learned, best practices, reliability action items are implemented. (20%)

5. Provides quality assurance, technical support, and consistent application of standards / procedures to Maintenance, Operations and Engineering for new and existing rotating equipment installations.  Conducts technical reviews in expense and capital projects to ensure equipment design meets reliability standards. (15%)
