Reliability Engineer - Facilities
Duties:
The Reliability Engineer will work in collaboration with other members of the Reliability Engineering team as well as the various site maintenance, operations, and quality organizations to effectively implement the Company’s Asset Management Strategy with the ultimate aim of optimizing the reliability and effectiveness of the company’s assets and equipment.
This position will employ a variety of techniques including but not limited to the performance or reliability centered maintenance analyses, the implementation of predictive maintenance techniques, and the performance of root cause, causal factors, and failure modes and effects analyses.
This position will assess repair vs. replacement options; analyze preliminary engineering-design concepts to recommend design or test methods for attaining operational reliability and maintenance efficiency, using knowledge of reliability engineering and other technologies; and support various engineering project through their design and implementation lifecycle. This position will also advise and confer with engineers in design review meetings to give reliability findings and recommendations.
This position will provide input as appropriate into Change Orders on existing equipment; and will assist the project and design engineering teams with new equipment purchase specifications and purchase decisions.
This position may be required to respond to emergencies situations and conditions as directed by management and to the level trained.
Skills required:
A minimum of 4 to 6 years of maintenance, reliability and or maintenance support engineering experience in an industrial and or manufacturing environment. It is preferable that this experience be in the Biotech or pharmaceutical industry. Also required for this position is technical competence in the analyses of abnormal asset/equipment conditions, troubleshooting; equipment upgrades and design changes; and the application of predictive maintenance techniques.
Prior experience with reliability centered maintenance techniques is a plus. Certification in vibration analysis; oil analysis; and or thermography is also a plus.
Excellent communication and facilitation skills are required as is the ability to collaborate and work well with engineering, maintenance and operations personnel. The individual who fills this position must be self motivated and results driven, and have a strong sense of accountability, and excellent interpersonal skills.

Project Engineer
Position Summary:
Perform engineering and project management duties as required to execute assigned projects. Engineering expertise will primarily focus on mechanical engineering, but not to the exclusion of other disciplines.
Responsibilities:
1. Support project development during the feasibility and scoping phases: Develop budgets and AFE estimates. Provide input and mechanical expertise as required. Work with various engineering disciplines, Environmental, Health & Safety, Operations, Maintenance and management to decide on appropriate solutions.
2. As a Project Manager, including leading a multi-discipline team: Identify, obtain and manage the resources necessary for successful project design, execution and construction. Resources include funding, equipment, materials, facilities, contractors and Company personnel. Maintain project controls as necessary to control scope and execute projects within budget and schedule constraints. Provide the project leadership and demonstrate the interpersonal skills necessary to build consensus and develop good teamwork.
3. Complete detailed design and generate construction packages: Provide mechanical technical expertise and perform design calculations. Work with design/drafting personnel to prepare construction drawing and sketches. Prepare technical equipment bid specifications. Generate construction package, with all necessary drawings, work scope descriptions, and specifications. Coordinate resources as required to execute the detailed design.
4. Purchase equipment and materials as required. Identify and select qualified vendors. Develop procurement and contracting strategies. Work with Procurement to carry out the appropriate strategy. Work with Procurement to evaluate bids and select the successful bidder. Assure procurement budgets, schedules, and quality requirements are met.
5. Responsible for technical and administrative project management during construction.
6. Supports development and revision to engineering standards and procedures.
7. Compliance with Refinery policies and procedures, including stewardship of the project management of change (MOC).
